The Section  perform the following activities:-

• Identify areas for studies and research and propose their regulatory implications in the regulated land transport sub-sectors;
• Evaluate the performance of the regulated sub-sectors;
• Establish demand and supply of regulated services;
• Coordinate development of performance criteria/standards for the regulated services;
• Gather information and data on regulatory best practices and standards in similar institutions;
• Develop performance indicators and benchmarks for the regulated sub-sectors;
• Coordinate preparation of research reports and publications;
• Engage with service providers in respect of trending issues in economic regulation;
• Collect, analyze and interpret data and information collected from regulated sub-sectors; and
• Design and maintain data management systems on information collected from regulated sub-sector.
